Business Roundtable for Defense

Point of Contact

LeadMr. Terry McKearney, FS (terry.mckearney@therangergroup.com)

Overview

The Defense Business Roundtable provides a forum for the discussion of issues relating to industry’s role in the field of operations research in the national security space. Operating under the Society’s model for Communities of Practice (CoPs), the Roundtable provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information relating to industry’s participation in analysis for national security.  The Roundtable recognizes the important role that private industry plays in the discipline of operations research for national security. These businesses are a core MORS constituency, and the Roundtable provides a unique venue for them to meet, discuss, exchange ideas, and learn in the pursuit of providing more effective operations research in the national security space.

The Roundtable meets virtually quarterly for a session on an issue concerning industry “doing business” in national security analysis. Participants in the Roundtable are encouraged to provide topics for discussion at the Roundtable to keep the deliberations current, relevant, and informative.

Roundtable leadership will keep notes of meetings and share the insights, issues, and recommendations with MORS leadership. These will be used to inform MORS Sponsors as to policies and initiatives that might be implemented to enhance the performance and standing of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) in regard to national security analysis.
