Points of Contact

Lead: Ms. Kathleen Hill
Lead: Mr. Norman Reitter

Overview

The main focus of the Community is to grow engagement from stakeholders who affect various facets of critical infrastructure protection (CIP), both in the United States and abroad. By promoting greater collaboration and helping to disseminate new techniques and ideas, the Community aims to bring together members from government, military, industry, and academia, in order to face the many challenges posed by threats to global infrastructure, whether climate-related or from malicious actors.

The Community will provide an opportunity to collectively share knowledge and experience to enhance the protection of global infrastructure, including:

    ·        Provide a forum for communication and collaborating on CIP-related issues within the MORS community.

    ·        Meet during the annual MORS Symposium where possible, and regularly throughout the year via in‑person and virtual presentations at varying levels of classification:

o   Identify and develop useful approaches across the wide range of tools and techniques of relevance to CIP needs.

o   Discuss emerging and completed projects of significance.

o   Share Insights, lessons learned, and joint sessions with other MORS Composite Groups and Working Groups such as National Security Risk Analysis and Cyber.

o   Document updates, outcomes, presentations and knowledge to enable broader information sharing.

o   Report regularly to the MORS Leadership (CoP Chair) on the status of the community of practice.

o   Share significant upcoming OR events such as MORS Special Meetings, future CIP-related Workshops, and other relevant DoD briefings.

    ·        Maintain a web site identifying and summarizing the CIP efforts and related OR capabilities and activities within the MORS Community.

All OR practitioners (industry, academia and Government) from senior managers to junior employees will be welcome to join the Community. Community members are to have a desire and willingness to work together to contribute to greater infrastructure protection through OR.
