Overview:

Welcome to "Lead to Succeed: Strategies for Managing Analytical Teams", an immersive and interactive course designed for both emerging and established leaders. Throughout this course, we will dive deep into the unique challenges and opportunities that accompany the management of analytical teams. We will explore how to foster an environment that encourages critical thinking, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. The curriculum includes a blend of theory and practice, case studies from diverse sectors, real-life examples of successful leadership, and interactive group exercises to ensure the acquired knowledge is immediately applicable.

Mr. Walt DeGrange

Director of Analytics Capabilities at CANA

Mr. DeGrange is an Operations Research Professional with experience in Government, Industry, and Academia. Walt served 21 years as a Supply Corps Officer in the Navy with his last 10 years focusing on applying analytics to solve logistical problems. Currently, he serves as the Director of Analytics Capabilities at CANA. He also teaches at the University of Arkansas and serves as an Executive Practicum Advisor at the NC State Poole School of Management. He recently coauthored the book Field Guide to Compelling Analytics with Ms. Lucia Darrow.

Mr. Dave Saranchak
Mr. Dave Saranchak

Research Fellow and Senior Director of Data Science and Analytics at Concurrent Technologies Corporation

Mr. David Saranchak is a Research Fellow and Senior Director of Data Science and Analytics at Concurrent Technologies Corporation. He leads research and development of emerging techniques in data analysis, machine learning assurance and differential privacy for multimodal data applications in enterprise platforms and tactical edge environments. Mr. Saranchak has more than a dozen years of technical civil service experience as an Applied Mathematician and Software Engineer, including assignments to the UK and Canada and long-term deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His passion for World War II history motivated him to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. While serving, he obtained two BS degrees, mathematics and physics, from Villanova University. He also earned two MS degrees, applied mathematics and telecommunications, from the University of Maryland, College Park.
