Command PE MAJCOM Competition

Command PE MAJCOM Competition: A Showcase of Strategic Mastery and Military Prowess

Get ready for the most thrilling and intricate wargaming competition yet! This year’s event, set in the northeast Pacific, features fictional opposing sides hosted by Alaska and the northwest United States. Participants will experience the ultimate test of strategic acumen as they navigate a scenario brimming with high-stakes challenges and dynamic military operations.

Naval Assets in Action

At the heart of the competition, each side will command a formidable Carrier Strike Group (CSG) centered around a CVN (Nuclear-Powered Aircraft Carrier) with a standard air wing composition. These carriers, along with their escorting and supporting vessels, will sail alongside amphibious assault ships, all under the vigilant protection of a destroyer screen. While a significant portion of the carrier's air wing will focus on self-defense, players will have a subset of aircraft available for offensive and strategic tasks. Adding to the complexity, a submerged vessel equipped with a formidable salvo of Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAMs) will be at the players' disposal to execute precise strikes.

Ground Forces: An Equal Match

Complementing the naval forces, the event's ground assets will include air defense batteries, early warning systems, munitions and fuel depots, six airbases, and a robust front line of infantry, artillery, armor, and support elements. Though these assets will not be player-controlled, they will play a critical role in the unfolding scenario, challenging participants to think creatively and strategically.

Customizable Air Fleets

Players will again have the opportunity to select their own fleet of aircraft from the current USAF (United States Air Force) and USN (United States Navy) inventory, working within a restricted budget. Their mission: prevent the opposing amphibious forces from advancing while simultaneously neutralizing enemy air and surface threats and protecting their own assets. Utilizing input sheets to gather player selections and an Air Control Order (ACO) / Air Tasking Order (ATO) for streamlined model integration, this setup ensures a seamless and efficient start to the competition.

Points and Objectives

Victory will be determined through a comprehensive points system, rewarding participants for achieving key objectives such as destroying ground facilities, sinking opposing vessels, and successfully escorting friendly amphibious forces. This year promises an elevated level of complexity and scale, with more joint assets and functions incorporated into the scenario, providing a rich and engaging experience for all competitors.

Step Up to the Challenge

With excitement and anticipation building, this year’s wargaming competition is poised to be a monumental step up from previous years. We invite you to join us in this exhilarating showcase of strategy, skill, and military prowess. Are you ready to rise to the challenge and make your mark on the battlefield?

Don't miss out on the action—secure your spot today!

Additional Details

While registering, please select your interest and choose your MAJCOM to be entered into the competition.

You do not need a team right away nor do you need experience in wargaming or simulation software. Everything will be taught and there will be folks on hand to help. Just bring your strategy, intellect, and desire to compete against your fellow Airmen and Guardians!

Those registered as interested will receive email updates on how to compete and form teams. Indicating interest does not commit you to compete. Competition will have limited interference with attendees' ability to attend sessions/keynotes, and present if you are a briefer.
