Thank you for participating in our online events. Please follow the below instructions to join the plenary and working group sessions virtually.

Run a GoToMeeting System Check to insure that your Operating System, Browser/Application and Internet Speed meets the services functioning stanadard.

Steps to join a session:
  1. Please reference the agenda to identify which GoTo Meeting room you should join.
  2. There are two ways to join GoTo meeting: either by downloading the app (also known as the GoTo Opener) or by joining in your web browser. If you join using the browser, you won’t need to download any external software.
    1. You DO NOT need a GoTo meeting account to download the free software or to join the meeting via the browser option.
  3. When you click your designated GoTo meeting link, an internet window will pop up. Please click which option works for your computer. (Remember: JOIN MY MEETING will require you to download the GoTo meeting software onto your hard drive.)
  4. If you have already downloaded the GoTo Meeting app, a pop up will appear, like below. Please select Open GoTo Opener

  5. If you are interested in downloading the app, please select “Download the App.”

  6. MORS strongly encourages you to join the meeting via your phone. VoIP is more likely to drop off the meeting.
    1. You will have the option to self-mute to avoid potentially interrupting the presenter.
  7. Please use the chat box to ask the presenter questions, interact with the working group chair and other working group attendees.
    1. If there is an open discussion, the organizer will allow attendees to unmute their phones.
  8. When the session is done you can exit out of that meeting room and join other meeting rooms. Please follow the agenda for more information.
  9. There will be a way for participants to view recorded sessions at the end of the workshop.
How to download go-to meeting:

GoToMeeting participants can download the full-feature desktop software on a Windows or Mac computer to take advantage of all our great collaboration tools including shared keyboard/mouse, drawing tools, and more. Participants can also choose to join meetings from the Web App, our browser-based version that does not require any downloads, or from our GoToMeeting mobile app. Check below for a list of our system requirements or to run your system's compatibility automatically.

About the GoTo Opener:

GoToMeeting uses a "helper" application to launch you into active sessions. This application is known as the GoTo Opener app. When you install the GoToMeeting software, this app is automatically installed on your computer as well. It will also run each time you join or start a session in order to connect you to your LogMeIn service.

How it's installed

For the large majority of our customers, the GoTo Opener automatically installs and updates itself when you join sessions using GoToMeeting .

  1. The first time that you join or start a session using GoToMeeting , the GoTo Opener app will be automatically installed.
  2. Then second time that you join or start a session, your web browser will detect the presence of the GoTo Opener on your computer and ask you for permission to launch it for you. Be sure to enable the "remember this setting" option before continuing.
  3. From that point on, the GoTo Opener will run automatically and launch you into your sessions quickly and seamlessly (unless you clear your browser cache or uninstall the app).

Installation troubleshooting

If the app is taking a long time to download through the normal flow (or if you are encountering download or join issues), you can try these troubleshooting steps.

  • If you are stuck on the Opener page, click the Download & Run link. This will prompt the GoTo Opener file to download again, which you can then open and run to continue being launched into session.
  • If you encounter an issue when launching a meeting on your Windows desktop, you can click Download to manually download the g2minstallerextractor.exe file to your computer, then run the EXE to install the software and join again.
  • If you encounter an issue when launching a meeting on your macOS desktop, you can click Download in Browser to manually download the GoToMeeting.dmg file to your computer, then run the app to install the software and join again.
  • Clear your web browser cache and try joining or starting the session again. This will help the browser properly detect whether the GoTo Opener is installed on your computer.
  • Do a complete uninstall of the GoTo Opener, then try joining or starting a session again. This will give you a fresh join flow.
