2020 Vol. 25, #3 - Aircraft-to-Mission Assignment Model for Engine Life Management
This study suggests the aircraft-to-mission assignment model (AMAM) for engine life management (ELM) considering the operating environment of military fighters. ELM is used to properly control aircraft exploitation for aviation safety and the efficient application of engines. The AMAM is formulated by mixed-integer linear programming based on time-space network, and it supports the logistics managers to assign the missions to the aircraft so that the residual life distribution of the aeroengines follows the control line they have set. Furthermore, it is expected that the AMAM for the ELM contributes to the strategic operations of military aircraft for the improvement of aircraft availability and the economic operations of aeroengines.
