The mission of the Professional Gaming Society is to foster continuous professional learning, support career development and employment connections, and provide venues for sharing the study, practice, and art of game design across practitioners and the academic community, while building a vibrant, inclusive network of individuals, organizations, and companies that connects, collaborates, and collectively elevates the standards of professional gaming worldwide.

Purpose

The purpose of the Professional Gaming Society is to serve as the premier hub for professional development and community engagement in the gaming world. MORS established PGS to fill a critical need for structured educational resources and a unified community of practice.

PGS will achieve this purpose by offering a diverse range of programs and resources, including:

Courses and Certificates

Providing structured professional development through a curriculum designed by industry experts. All gaming courses will fall under PGS.

Workshops

the Wargaming Workshops will fall under PGS and be called PGS Wargaming Workshops. In addition, PGS will have relationships with and support other professional gaming conferences.

Podcasts

Sharing insightful conversations and expert analysis on industry trends, business strategies, and career journeys.

Community of Practice

Cultivating an inclusive, global network where members can share knowledge, mentor one another, and collaborate on advancing the profession.

Media

Journal of Wargaming will fall under PGS and will build a set of publications relevant to professional gaming.

Corporate Membership

PGS will offer corporate partner memberships. Our goal is to improve networking and support between organizations, as well as individuals, and to connect individuals with potential employers.
