Meeting Purpose and Description: How can we ensure that the War Fighter receives the most capable equipment, in a timely manner, for the best value?
The purpose of this workshop will be to determine and share a set of best practices for the significant analytic challenges which arise during the acquisition process for agencies within the United States Government. Most of these issues have been long standing, but have not been formally addressed until the adoption of the Weapon Systems Acquisition Reform Act (WSARA) of 2009. One impact of this legislation is that Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense are demanding more fidelity in the risk and trade space analyses prior to approving the development of very expensive acquisition programs. The national security analytic community must step up and fill this requirement for greater rigor in this analysis. | Click here for current news and policies on acquisition. | This meeting is unclassified.
